hi, i’m gianna!

I am currently a junior studying Graphic Design in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. I am a  Newhouse Leadership Scholar and have consistently made the Dean’s list for the past five semesters, allowing me to receive the SU Distinction Award.

My passion for design has existed far before my college career, and actually started when I was 12 years old. I was captivated by the HGTV network, and loved watching people completely transform homes into beautiful and comfortable spaces. Soon after that my interests extended to the page, and I was accepted into a creative writing program at my high school. My love for design never faded, but always just seemed like a hobby to me. I entered Syracuse University studying Magazine, News, and Digital Journalism, and studied that for two years. But my heart felt pulled back to my design roots, and I ended up switching my major. However, I do not regret journalism; I believe it only broadened my capabilities within the communications sphere. Today I am ecstatic to be designing, illustrating, and curating beautiful graphics, posters, products, and more.

Some of my skills include typography, photography, UI/UX design, Adobe Creative Suite, and illustration – along with others you can find on my resume. I am well suited for designing across many platforms and medias. Following my studies, I am looking forward to solving problems creatively and aiding others in establishing styles, brands, and the like.
